So here we are. In the midst of madness.
Harvest is upon us. Sports are back & running. Dance is rockin’. And ” The Ideal Photo Season” is in full swing.
I have had SO MANY beautiful clients in front of my lens in the last month, and a million more to go… WHICH IS AH-MAZING.
This family though.
I feel a little connected at times and I really don’t even know them that well.
Farming life. Check.
Three little boys pretty close in age. Check.
A fourth child that wears bows, will act like a boy, boss the boys around, but screams sassy diva ( all assumptions at this point, clearly ). Check.
So photo shoots with this crew are always a mad stab in the dark, as they are with most family sessions. Will we have good weather, will the kids want to participate, will we capture a few with all eyes on me?
Just never know what you will get… which makes me SO OBSESSED with how they always turn out.
The day was perfectly overcast & COLD. The wind was rippin’ the temp was way lower than expected & here we were about to rock a photo shoot with four kiddos.
Imperfection is my thing… it seems to make things oddly perfect. Describes the real scenario vs the fake crap we see blasted all over social media.
The scabs on the face. The fact that dad had an attached child. Two big brothers who had the best photo ideas in the world, like their shoes. The tractor. Anything BUT what mom visioned.
So basically, your typical family shoot.
Ps. Just so you know, we did get PLENTY with them all looking… those are just a little “Christmas Cardy” for me to blog.
These seem to be more my style.
