Another happily ever after has hit my little black book. One that will most likely be remembered as genuine. This couple conatcted me in June. By some freak act of God the weekend I thought I was booked was open. I was available. I was hesitant, this is no lie, I am not quite a Type A person, but also not Quite a Type B person so booking a photographer with only 3 months before the big day makes me a tad nervous. However I trusted my heart and after doing the usual back and forth with the bride decided to book them. The description of the day sounded exactly like the weddings I long for. So we signed the papers.
Next comes August. Engagement session. Always anxious to meet my soon to be brides & grooms I was especially anxious to meet these two and hear all about the wedding plans. Of course because I love LOVE so much and being part of something so big is so very special but in all honesty I was excited to update my portfolio with some downtown wedding images for once.
We hit it off right away, crazy to say but that doesn’t always happen with each couple & phtoographer, trust me. We laughed, and chatted about details, along with receiving about 200 mosquito bites all the while snapping their engagement photos. It went awesome. I hoped in the burb and blurted out the words ” YAY!” to the hubby, while scratching like a feen. I was so excited to have been asked to do this. Oh, and remember this was going to give me the most exciting new photos & venue ideas ever. Little did I know that their love, their personalites, & their family would be more important than any new venue or portfolio plumping.
They weren’t worried about putting on a show for the world, they were worried about getting married to the one whom they will spend eternity with. They weren’t worried about over the top details & perfect weather. Instead they snuggled up with their family & each other smiling and soaking every second in. Heck, the Red Bull girls even noticed the magic and stopped to offer their beverages … they knew this day shouldn’t end either.
All in all, this romantic yet magical day left a stamp. A stamp of approval and affection for yet another couple that was made to be together.
